Happy Holidays from BVL
As I prepare to celebrate the holidays with family and friends, I take time to reflect on 2016 — both its joys and sorrows — for me personally, my community, our nation and our world. But, in taking stock of the year, I do take great comfort in the work we do at BVL to support our nation’s service men and women.
With your help, we’ve made a tremendous difference in the lives of literally thousands of men and women who have sacrificed for us and for our country. From a “Re-Creation” performance for the WWII vets in the VA Medical Center in Togus, Maine, to a holiday party we sponsored just this week for the vets at the Peninsula Vet Center in Menlo Park, California; we are Brightening Veterans’ Lives.
The list of programs and services we’ve provided this year to boost spirits, increase camaraderie, speed recuperation, and reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation is way too long to detail, but please know that as part of the BVL family you are helping to send a truly a life-changing gift every day to our veterans.
Isn’t it great to know that we are doing our part to give back to those who gave for us?
You are making brighter days for our veterans. I want to thank every single contributor and volunteer, every one of our growing list of corporate sponsors, our partners in BVL program development and delivery, and my fellow BVL Board Members. You have given me great joy and pride to allow BVL to maintain our promise made to our veterans in 1942: “We won’t forget your sacrifice”
It’s not too late to give – visit us at www.BowlforVeterans.org and click the “Donate Now” tab. Make BVL part of your personal end-of-year giving donations…
We are looking forward to turning the page to an exciting new year as we prepare for BVL’s 75th Anniversary!
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and a happy and healthy 2017,
John
