BowlersMart Introduces Campaign to Support BVL
BowlersMart, one of the largest bowling equipment retailers in the country with 40 stores and counting, is the latest member of the bowling family to step up for America’s veterans through BVL.
Beginning with just one pro shop in Hudson, Florida, in 2004, BowlersMart now provides top-notch services in each of its pro shops throughout the country and a complete array of equipment and supplies offerings through their online store.
“Although we’ve long known about the great things BVL does to brighten the lives of America’s veterans, we decided that on the occasion of their 75th anniversary it was time to launch a targeted collective campaign amongst all our pro shops and our online offerings,” stated BowlersMart owner Cliff Barnes. “This is a great cause and one which we are extremely excited about helping!”
The initial campaign is a three-pronged approach but it is expected to be expanded throughout the year and beyond.
Barnes explains, “We have made signage in all of our stores explaining the BVL 75th anniversary and details about the charity. At all of our stores, we’re asking for a contribution to BVL at checkout. We are also going to leagues and taking up donations… so many of the league members are former service men and women and are really excited about BVL and want to contribute. Thirdly, we are in the process of accepting donated bowling items and selling them on an eBay account we are creating for BVL with all proceeds going directly to BVL.”
Bowlers interested in finding a BowlersMart near them or making a purchase at their online store can visit www.BowlersMart.com.
“On behalf of the veterans we serve, we truly thank Cliff and the BowlersMart organization for taking this important step to help celebrate our 75th anniversary,” stated BVL Board Chairman John LaSpina. “We believe this can be a great new source of much appreciated support for BVL. We have a lot of work to do and BowlersMart will help keep our mission strong.”
Founded in 1942, BVL is a national 501 (c) (3) charity which is consistently acknowledged for efficient and effective programming delivered with extremely low overhead. BVL has been recognized as one of “America’s Best Charities,” earned a “Top Rated” Nonprofit distinction, and accepted into the Combined Federal Campaign (#93325).
